FSTB Turns Six

fstb turns six

On my way back from Hawaii earlier this week I realized that my blog-iversary was over the weekend – this site is officially six years old. That’s definitely much longer than I ever expected it to last, so I figured I’d take a moment and reflect on that and look towards what’s next.

The last year was an interesting one, mostly involving me figuring out what to do with myself after leaving my role running the menswear part of Massdrop. In the time since I’ve focused on doing consulting work for a handful of small menswear brands, helping them with marketing, product development, and other odds and ends. Working from home has definitely taken a hit on how I dress (not a lot of tailored clothing these days), but the flexibility has given me the opportunity to travel more, and for longer periods of time.

In last year’s post I mentioned that I was working on some of my own projects – that got put on hold for a little while for a variety of reasons (as so often happens), but I’m excited to say that I’m back to working on something of my own. I can’t say much more at the moment, but hopefully I’ll have more news in a couple of months. If you want to be the first to know about any new things I put together, you can sign up for my email list over on the right – I haven’t used it to send a single email yet, so I can confidently say that it will only get used for matters of very high importance.

As always, thank you to all that read this site, from those that have been here since the beginning to those who just found it today. Getting to know the people that stop by this corner of the internet has been one of the best parts of running this webiste, and I look forward to keeping it going – the blogging bubble may be over, but I’m not ready to throw in the towel just yet.
