If you have any interest in watches you’re likely familiar with Worn & Wound, an excellent source for information on a huge number of wristwatches and related content. Like myself, they tend to focus on products that provide a good value rather than on brand name alone. I’ve been a reader of theirs for years and highly recommend you check them out if watches are a hobby of yours. And if you happen to be in or around San Francisco this weekend, you should know that there’s a big event going on.
This weekend the W&W guys are bringing their popular Wind-Up watch show to San Francisco for the first time – you can find info on time and location here. It’s the first and only watch fair of its kind, and the largest in the United States; designed to bring watches, brands and fans together in a fun, approachable and engaging environment. It’s also free to attend, so if you find yourself in the area I encourage you to stop by. There will be nearly 30 vendors and tons of products to see, so there should be a little of something for every type of watch nerd.
I’ll be there Friday afternoon and perhaps Saturday as well – Sunday is a no-go for me, as I’ll probably be running through the streets of San Francisco in some sort of terrible costume, as is tradition. It’s shaping up to be a big weekend!
