What I Wore: West Coast Winter

I spent most of the past week doing one of my favorite things – hiking through the damp, foggy forests of the Willamette Valley. It’s a pastime that I took for granted when I lived in the Pacific Northwest and now have come to miss dearly due to my city-centric lifestyle.

I tend to overpack for my trips up north because I end up bringing separate wardrobes for outdoor and social activities; I now try to focus on pieces that can work for both of these scenarios, and recently acquired two key pieces. First is the sweater from my own label Lost Monarch, which – in my opinion – wonderfully toes the line between rugged and refined. The second is the pair of hiking boots from Paraboot, which are also quite lovely to look at but are also very capable of getting muddy and wet (more on these soon). Between the two I feel like I can just bring a few other key pieces and a handful of shirts and be set for a week.

Thanks to all of you that read the blog in 2019 –  I know its been a rather slow year but I have a lot lined up for the coming weeks. All I need is the time to put it together! 2020 should be a good one on FSTB – I hope you stick around.
