It’s amazing how quickly things have turned on their head. One moment every brand was about to launch their Spring/Summer collection, and then suddenly some of them have ceased selling things completely, or are operating in a much smaller capacity. I had several product reviews ready to publish, but most of those products either aren’t currently available or just don’t make sense at the moment (you’ll just have to wait a bit longer for that aluminum luggage review).
Whether you’re doing it to support small businesses or because you now have $1200 burning a hole in your bank account, the silver lining is that there are unprecedented sales all over the internet. It sucks to see so many of my favorite brands and retailers in such a precarious spot, but if feeding my jawnz addiction makes me a hero for small businesses then I’m happy to do my part. Here are some noteworthy sales that I’ve seen:
Sweyd: 10% off sitewide with code STAYSAFE. I’ve been following these guys for a while now, and have decided that it’s time to pull the trigger (once I decide on which color to get). The wonderful colors and textures bring a bit of life to this otherwise sterile style of sneaker, and with the current discount and exchange rate they’re a very approachable price. Expect a full review soon.
Garrett Leight: 25% off sitewide with code STAYHEALTHY. An excellent discount on my favorite eyewear brand of all time. I still wear my Hamptons daily four years later, and I love them just as much as I did when they were new. The size of their collection has expanded significantly since then, but the quality and style remains excellent. I paid full price for mine years ago, and if I was in the market for another pair I would definitely be picking one up.
Meermin: free shipping with code STAYSAFE. Everyone’s favorite budget footwear brand just got even more affordable. Meermin is pretty much untouchable when it comes to “great value for the money” footwear, so the additional discount pushes them even further in that direction. I love my wholecut chelseas but they have tons of variety, like their new unlined loafer models for the upcoming season.
Sid Mashburn: 20% off sitewide with code PREVAIL. Sid operates one of the most tasteful menswear stores in the country, and both his in-house label and his branded stuff is great. Their denim is solid for the price, their footwear covers all the bases, and their tailored clothing has been a menswear go-to for years. Sid and his team have a great eye, and everything they sell seems to go together effortlessly.
Skoaktiebolaget: 10% off sitewide with code STAYWELL. “Skoak” is without question one of the best footwear stores in the world. Everything from their impeccable and affordable Lof & Tung house brand to their top-of-the-line brands like Saint Crispin’s punches well above their weight class, and the designs and materials are always tasteful. Check out their new sneaker line for something casual and approachable, or their handwelted cordovan boots for something truly exquisite.
Pendleton: 25% off sitewide with the code CYBER25. Pendleton does have sales from time to time, but the difference is that this one includes their amazing blankets (which are very hard to find at discount). I have had my eye on their new Wyeth trail design for a long time and finally pulled the trigger. They’re beautiful, hearty, and last forever.
What brands am I forgetting? Any other noteworthy sales that should be on this list?
