I recently spent a few days of debauchery in Arizona, where the midday temperatures hovered around 110 degrees (but it’s a dry heat). This isn’t really the environment that I prefer to exist in, but I managed to cobble together a few pieces from my wardrobe to help me cope. Here’s what I packed:
- swim trunks (you’d better believe I spent most of my time in a pool)
- shorts
- chinos (for the occasional non-outdoor event)
- three tees
- slip-ons
- Birkenstocks (I know, I can’t believe it either)
- print shirts
- a breezy linen shirt
- two pairs of sunglasses: a nice one and a hard-to-ruin one
That, plus a large quantity of sunscreen. I managed to make it through the trip relatively unscathed, thank goodness!
