This past weekend I was able to attend one of my favorite events of the year – an annual black tie celebration at San Francisco City Hall. My black tie kit has evolved and upgraded over the years, and now that all the pieces are more or less accounted for I’ve reached the somewhat confusing top of the menswear mountain – the clothes nerd in me wants to continue iterating, researching and shopping, while the realist in me wants to bask in the satisfaction of having a perfect outfit sitting in my closet. Either way, I see this black tie kit as a great investment. I’ve worn it – hard – at least a dozen times, and every time I put it on I’m confident that it’s going to be a great evening.
