San Francisco has been unbearably hot for the past few days. While summer temperatures hovering around 100 degrees may be common in many parts on the United States, it’s exceedingly rare here. And what makes it exponentially worse is that the city is wholly unprepared for it – nobody has air conditioning, restaurants have to close because the food spoils, the power goes out, and more. It’s not great.
In a feeble attempt to survive in this post-apocalyptic hellscape, I’ve been sporting my new camp collar print shirt from Proper Cloth. I picked a great print from Albiate, which is super light, silky, and very colorful – about as good as it gets for hot weather shirts. There are many other wonderful print fabrics from Proper Cloth if you’re looking for something similar. The camp collar is a new addition, and is very on-trend right now (I can’t believe I just said that). I don’t know if I’ll wear it over a sportcoat often (or at all), but it is a fun, relaxed, lounge-y look. The shorts are so old that they’ve faded to almost the same color as my skin (sorry about that), and my GAT sneakers are getting pretty beat up as well. Wearing anything at all was pretty uncomfortable, but at least this made things a little bit better.
