Just a heads up – this sale code still works and stock is still pretty good (especially on the Alden styles). I don’t know when the code will expire but now is still a great time to get into some excellent spring footwear!

The biggest disadvantage of playing the sales game is that usually you have to buy clothing off-season. That’s not the case today, because there is a ton of great spring footwear from Brooks Brothers at very discounted prices.
For some reason, it seems that Brooks Brothers has put quite a bit of footwear made by Alden on sale, which is very uncommon. On top of that, the code BC1818 gets you an additional 15% off. This makes for some rare deals on some excellent loafers:
- Shell Cordovan: Discounts on Alden footwear are extremely rare, and even more so when it comes to shell cordovan. Prices are still high, but much lower than any other time I’ve seen them. My picks:
- Tassel loafers in black and #8, $464. I’m thinking about getting a pair in #8.
- Unlined penny loafers in black and #8, $477. Perhaps the most classic Alden loafer. I have a pair in suede.
- Low-vamp penny loafers in black and #8, $464. For those that want an extra old-school, full-strap penny vibe.
- Suede and Calfskin tassel loafers: Same Alden quality, lower price. For those that don’t fetishize shell cordovan.
- Tassel loafers in suede (brown and snuff), $355: I’m super bummed that these aren’t available in an 8.5. They’re exactly what I want to add to my own collection.
- Tassel loafers in calfskin (black, brown, burgundy, tan), $355.
- Other great finds:
- Longwings from Allen Edmonds (black, tan grain), $229: I love longwings, and have a pair from Allen Edmonds. They’re some of my favorite shoes.
- My favorite loafers in black and chestnut, $275. These are the Harvard by Crockett and Jones, and I have never seen them anywhere near this cheap. I get more compliments on these shoes than probably anything else I own.
And of course, the code also applies to the rest of the sale and clearance section, making for some great finds if you’re willing to dig around.
Happy sale hunting!
