Yep, 8”. It’s quickly becoming my favorite size for leg openings - I can’t get trousers to sit right at 7.5” and any more than 8.25” looks too big on me.

Yea, I have found that it depends on the fabric and the weight of the fabric. On my suits and dress pants I usually go for 8, but on lighter weight wools 8” is too much and I’ve had to go for 7.5”.
