I just finished packing for what is sure to be a rainy Thanksgiving in Oregon. Here’s what I grabbed:
- Single-breasted trench
- Tweed blazer
- Cashmere scarf
- 2x blue OCBD
- Gingham button-down
- Shetland wool sweater
- Gray cotton sweater
- Vintage OSU long-sleeve shirt (because go Beavs)
- Selvage denim
- 5-pocket garment-dyed trousers
- Flannel shacket (it is Oregon, after all)
- Brown suede chukkas
- Vintage “I’ve been through everything” boots
- Nylites
Throw in some socks and other necessities and this kit will make anyone ready for a put-together, dressed-down holiday with the folks. I think this photo also does a good job of outlining how I aim to dress every day – various combinations of simple, muted and versatile items.
