Three years ago I started this site on a whim, with no other purpose than to keep in contact with some fellow menswear enthusiasts I met at Styleforum’s 10-Year Anniversary party. I then decided to use this space as a place to write, since my job at the time gave me very little opportunity to be creative. Somehow, people started reading what I wrote and the rest has been one big surprise from there.
This past year has been a wild one for me; I’ve gotten some undeserved publicity, toured factories, attended trade shows, been added as a spotlight “fashion” blog on tumblr, worked for some friends, met dozens of amazing people, and somehow accumulated over 30,000 readers. Most importantly, I was able to completely change careers and now get paid to do something I love. I still can’t believe that it worked out so well, and it’s all thanks to you, the people that read this site.
The internet is a silly place, and I never would have believed that a lost college grad with nothing but a funny blog name and an addiction to clothing could stumble into something this great. Thank you for your comments, emails, advice, friendships, and more. Writing for this blog is still one of my favorite activities, and I’m excited for what the coming year will bring. I have high hopes that the next year will be the best one yet, and look forward to sharing with you what I learn along the way.
